2 Top Reasons the Law of Attraction Does Not Work

by | Nov 18, 2013 | Uncategorized

Do you believe the Law of Attraction does not work? Or do you experience money struggle and start to doubt whether or not the Law of Attraction is true?
I was sharing my vision statement with a private client. I felt delighted and grateful to see that 90 percent of what I had written a year ago, I had manifested in my life.

In fact, my vision statement was rather humble, and I have far surpassed my original vision with God’s grace.

So I am a firm believer in the Law of Attraction (or LOA). But I wanted to explore why the LOA sometimes does not work.

The Law of Attraction is a universal law. This spiritual principle is more aptly called, the Law of Creation.  What you reap, you sow. Contrary to the naysayers, the LOA is not New Age woo-woo or magical thinking.

You are the creator of your life.
Whatever you want in your life, you create first spiritually.

The heavens and earth were first created spiritually before they were manifested in physical form.

So if you are not getting what you want, let’s review the 2 top reasons the Law of Attraction does not work for you.

1. Your mindset combined with your feelings keeps you stuck at a low vibration.
Pay attention to your thoughts. Are you focused on what you want? Or on what you don’t want?

If you are struggling with money, your thoughts are focused predominantly on what you don’t want. Your thinking concentrates on lack, on paying the bills, or the drama you’ve created from past financial mistakes.

We have 60,000 thoughts in the day. The beauty of the Law of Attraction is that you do not have to have 60,000 positive thoughts for you to manifest what you want. You simply need to tip the scale in the favor of more positive thoughts than negative thoughts.

You shift by simply paying attention to your thoughts. And when you catch yourself in a negative thought, you reframe the negative in a positive light.

Your feelings are powerful magnifiers to manifest your desires. Are you more passionate about creating abundance? About making strategy calls? About enrolling more clients? About a huge reserve in your bank account?

Or are you more passionate about your financial debt? The chaos around money? The service provider who has not met your expectations?

My specialty focuses on clearing the blocks through energy work and shifting the mindset. The mindset is a powerful determiner of your success. And only YOU are in charge of your mindset.

Fortunately, you can learn how to change your mindset, once you take responsibility for what is showing up in your life.

2. You are not taking inspired action.
The Law of Creation or the Law of Attraction implies action. People mistakenly believe that the Law of Attraction means visualizing what you want, and the Universe delivers your desire.
Occasionally, such blessings occur. But most often, we need to match our intentions with inspired action

Inspired action is not the energy of busyness.
I am referring to the action that resonates with your heart and inner knowing.

Ask yourself, “What is the one action I need to take this week, that if I take it, I will get quantum results?” Sometimes, the action can be as simple as de-cluttering the desk. Reaching out to a JV partner. Or having an honest conversation with a loved one.

As Einstein said, “Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results.”

Decide to take action and follow through. And you will see a quantum shift in your life.

We expend so much energy in the wasteland of indecision and mediocrity.
You are called to greatness.
Ask yourself, “What am I called to do? How can I step into my fullest potential?”

I truly believe that by asking yourself this question, your highest self will guide you to the answer.

Yes, Susan, one day at a time. The beauty of life is that only today counts. And we can change today!

“Ask yourself, “What is the one action I need to take this week, that if I take it, I will get quantum results?””

I believe in this. I believed in it back when Tony Robbins called it “taking massive action”.

One of the troubles I do find, however, is when you exhaust yourself taking those heaping, massive, positive, targeted actions … and nothing *still* happens.

The way that sentence reads, it implies that the quantum results will follow from taking the action. They don’t necessarily. And more often than not, when you ask that “*Now* what?” question, the people making those recommendations tend to back slowly away, because they’re not sure what else to suggest.

So what happens in that kind of situation?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Im. I believe that results do follow when we take inspired action, not just busy action. It may not be the exact results we anticipated, but it is a shift in the right direction. And if we don’t get the results we desire, it is an opportunity to re-evaluate for the lesson.

      Here is a checklist:
      Were my expectations too high?
Where did I fall short or hold back?
How did my mindset create the current outcome? And how can I change?
Do I have a mentor with a proven track record of success?

The other caveat is that I believe our will must be aligned with God’s will to get meaningful results. You can get quantum results on self-will, but are your results the right ones?
