2014 is finally here. And it’s time for a wakeup call. Are you living your purpose?
Some of you may not know this about me, but I spent my twenties as a stripper. So I know exactly how to NOT live my purpose.
To hear more about my story, click on the video below.
I would make $1000 a night. And I would spend it again. I created credit card debt just to motivate me to go to work. Sure there were things I liked about my job, being on stage and dancing.
But I was selling out. I was clearly not using my gifts to share with the world. Or I used my gifts in a warped manipulative way.
So I know what it is like to live far beneath my potential.
Believe me. You cannot spend enough money, watch enough tv, check out on a relationship, take enough substances to dull that feeling when you are not living your purpose.
One day, I left my JOB. And I took the leap. I took a job as a waitress and made a fraction of what I made before. But I felt like I was living in integrity with my truth. I met my love. And we got married. I finished school.
My purpose is to get you on purpose. I feel that with every fiber of my being. When I am doing this work, I feel alive. I feel joy.
Today, I am going to share 2 things with you. One, how to recognize you are not living your purpose.
And Two, how to get back on track.
Step 1: Here’s how to know you are not living your purpose.
Pay attention to your feelings: are you bored, angry? depressed? irritated with the people around you?
Any negative emotions are clues that you need to adjust and get back into your alignment.
Are you overspending? Eating mindlessly? Checking out in front of the tv?
Your body and your emotions are a barometer to get you back on track.
Notice where you feel envy or jealousy. It is usually a sign that your heart really wants to go in that direction. Instead of judging yourself, you can take it.
Step 2: And here is how to start living on purpose.
Take an inventory. What excites you? What are you passionate about? When are you in the ZONE?
Start paying attention to these crumbs.
Follow your passion. You don’t have to have all the answers now. When I decided to go to grad school, I thought I wanted to be a professor. I didn’t know I would end up as an energy coach and mindset mentor. But I was passionate about my studies and my research. And it led me to energy work and helping others heal.
And if your pain gets big enough, are your ready to take the leap?
