The other day crystallized for me what is the REAL root of all our troubles.
The cool thing is that once you know it, you can breakthrough this block through a simple choice.
But first let me tell you… I’ve been spending many hours at the skate park with my kids. Esquina skate park is a beautiful incongruence in the middle of the jungle and the unpaved roads in Nosara. Monkeys howl overhead. Reggae music blares.
Skateboarding is the new thing for my kids. I never thought I’d be a skateboard mom. But as a student of success, I see how confidence comes from mastering new skills. Confidence is the key to success. So I have newfound respect for the sport and what it takes to master a trick.
So my 10-year-old daughter has been practicing how to drop in. She hovers over a 6 foot ledge with her skateboard. She has practiced many times descending the bowl, while she holds an adults’ hand. But now she wants to do it alone.
“Dream. Believe. Do. Repeat.” She says over and over, her mantra. “I can do this.”
But as an affluence coach and energy intuitive, I could feel her misgivings and fear. The mind chatter was telling her the exact opposite.
Minutes passed, as she looked at the drop below. She hesitated. She was psyching herself out of doing it.
“Do you want help?” I asked.
Not looking at me, she nodded.
Muscle-testing on myself via proxy and guided by my intuition, I searched for the blocks and the subconscious beliefs that were holding her back. And with her permission, I cleared the energetic clutter: memories of past falls, beliefs about her uncle Jason’s snowboarding accident when he broke his back, and generational patterns (inherited from me!) of fears and indecision.
Without the excess debris, she could more easily align with the confidence and clarity she needed to implement her vision.
She did it! As a mom, I was elated.
But even after one success, she hesitated before going again. She resolved to conquer that fear. After a couple false attempts, she dropped in. Four more times! Success!
When I watched my daughter wrestling with her fears, I saw my younger self. And I remembered how I let my mind take me out of the game.
And I knew that for her, dropping in was so much bigger than doing a simple skateboard trick. It was about setting a pattern of confidence. Of breaking through fear. Of mastering her mind.
And I wanted so badly for her to create a deep neural pathway of success. Because I know how painful it can be in STUCK energy.
And here’s why I am sharing this with you:
You may not be dropping in from a skate park ledge, but if you are like most of us, you have a DREAM or GOAL about what you want in your life, and there is a gap between where you are now and where you are going.
If you do NOT have ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY and CONFIDENCE that you will execute on you dream, you may be like my daughter and most people…
Either you are standing still, or swirling in stuck energy, or hesitating in indecision,
And if this is you, YOU ARE WRESTLING with the ENEMY.
And the enemy is your mind chatter.
And just like me, or my daughter, you are faced with a decision:
Are you going to let the Enemy win? Are you going to succumb to the mind chatter? Or will you prevail against your fear.
It’s not the actual leap (or dropping in) that is painful. The pain comes from the indecision. From not taking action. From all the forms of self-sabotage the crop up and prevent us from living the lives we dream about.
And I share this recent triumph at the skatepark because it doesn’t have to be so hard. Just as I was cheering my daughter on and clearing her blocks so she could REALIZE her vision, I am here for you.
I am the successful entrepreneur’s, CEO’s, musician’s, artist’s, athlete’s, and mother’s secret weapon.
You don’t have to do this alone.
I love my work because it is amazing to see my clients achieve their goals, once the energetic junk is released and transmuted into gold.
So… if you want support and guidance, let’s come up with a plan for you to realize your goals this year. And we will explore if working together is a good fit. Email me: email@example.com.
